Hawai`i Communty College

Writing Intensive Program

Writing Intensive Courses
at Hawai`i Community College

Each HawCC writing intensive class is both instructor and course approved.  This approval  is shown as WI in the Registration Information booklet and the Class Availability online each semester.  For example, not all sections of Geography 102 are writing intensive; only a section marked with a WI is approved and only for the particular semester and teacher indicated in the Registration Informatiion booklet and the Class Availability online each semester.  A student is required to take one writing-intensive in order to receive a two-year liberal arts degree at Hawai`i Community College.
