From Hilo
On highway 19 (Mamalahoa Hwy), pass Tex's Drive Inn and the 43 mile marker. Make the next right turn onto Plumeria St. Go ½ a mile down the hill and take the first right after Hale Hoʻola Hāmākua. There will be a sign that says North Hawaiʻi Education & Research Center.
From Kona
On highway 19 (Mamalahoa Hwy), pass the 44 mile marker. Make the next left turn onto Plumeria St. into Honokaʻa. Go ½ a mile down the hill and take the first right after Hale Hoʻola Hāmākua. There will be a sign that says North Hawaiʻi Education & Research Center.
